Comics
Ten cents, sixty-four pages, and a costumed hero on every cover.
About this shelf
Comic books from the Golden Age, the boom years that followed Superman's debut in 1938. Here are Fawcett's Whiz Comics, home of Captain Marvel, and Spy Smasher; Fox's Phantom Lady; and It Rhymes With Lust, a 1950 "picture novel" often counted among the first graphic novels. One later issue, Charlton's Peacemaker from 1967, rounds out the shelf. All are page scans.
